ピンク・フロイド『炎～あなたがここにいてほしい』50周年記念のデラックス・ボックスに、日本限定の3大特典がついに正式決定した。ヒプノシスによる「Desert Man in Bowler」ポスターが加わり、完全翻訳解説書とミニCDキーチェーンとともに、日本独自仕様の存在感が一気に増した。半世紀前に生まれた名盤が、2025年の日本で再び特別な物語を紡ぎ始めている。

本ボックスが世界のマニアをざわつかせている理由は、もちろん内容の圧倒的な密度にある。2CD、4LP、Blu-rayに加え、レプリカ7インチ、未公開写真フォトブック、コミック風ツアープログラム、ネブワース公演ポスターといった多彩なアイテムが詰め込まれた。そして、このボックスでしか入手できない透明クリアヴァイナルは、まさにコレクターの精神を直撃する存在だ。限定1500セットという狭き門は、発売前からプレミア感を生み出している。

加えて、名曲「クレイジー・ダイアモンド」のPart1〜9完全版初公開という知らせは、世界中のファンにとって最大級の事件である。25分の大曲として一体化されたことで、従来の印象を大きく上書きする体験へと変貌した。シド・バレットの影を追い続けるこの曲の歴史は多く語られてきたが、最終ミックスの日に姿を現したシドを目の前にし、誰も彼を認識できなかったという逸話の痛切さは、50年を経ても色褪せない。新ミックスとともに、ノエル・フィールディングが描いたイメージを用いた新映像が公開されることで、この曲にまつわる神話性はさらに強まった。

さらに、1975年LA公演のミラード録音が初めて公式化されることも大きい。“発売前の『炎』『アニマルズ』の原型”“狂気の全曲演奏”“130分超の完全パフォーマンス”という、当時のバンドの状態をそのまま閉じ込めた貴重な資料が、スティーヴン・ウィルソンの手で現代水準へ修復された。もはや伝説として語られてきたライブが、正規リリースとして現実のものとなったのである。なぜ今なのか――それは、50年を経てもなお、ピンク・フロイドの作品に宿る熱量が世界中で失われていないことの証明である。名盤『炎』の50周年は、単なる記念ではなく、歴史の更新そのものだ。
